Precision in shape and position

Laser contour measurement – precision in shape and position

Our laser contour measurement enables precise geometric analysis of your components – from length control and part presence detection to runout inspection. The measurement can be seamlessly integrated into our magnetic field test stand and performed simultaneously with the magnetic field analysis. This allows geometry and magnetic field data to be accurately correlated – providing a comprehensive quality assessment in a single test cycle.

Application

  • Geometry-oriented measurements
  • Part presence detection
  • Length control
  • Position control
  • Runout and flatness inspection
  • 2D/3D measurement
  • Detection of positional features
  • Runout and flatness inspection, e.g. resolver keyways

3D data analysis of motors

One scan, multiple ways to read it

The optical 3D scanner captures the full rotor surface in one pass. From that data set the analysis software derives the surface model, the axial profile against your reference edges, and run-out both over the rotation and per magnet segment.

Surface model

A closed 3D surface of the rotor, radius over width and angle. Zones are colour-coded so magnet packages, bearing seats, and shaft ends are separated in the same view.

Measured range
0 – 250 mm width
Coverage
360° in one pass

We add new visualisations continuously. If the analysis or the view you need is not in this list, tell us what you want to see — we will build it into the software.
